The existing $7,000 limit would remain, but Canadians will now be able to contribute up to an additional $5,000 a year, if that money supports Canadian companies that employ Canadian workers and pay Canadian taxes. The tax system already defines Canadian investments, and a Poilievre government will create a definition that lets financial institutions and advisors label which stocks, mutual funds and other investments can go into your Canada First TFSA Top-Up." — conservative.ca, retrieved 2025-04-17

Biography

from their website

Ziad is your local Conservative candidate in Edmonton Manning, having represented you in the House of Commons for the past 10 years, since 2015. As a former small business owner and operator Ziad is a strong advocate for small business owners and regulatory systems that empower entrepreneurs to create well-paying jobs Canadians can rely on.

As a successful business owner, dedicated community leader, devoted family man, and strong
advocate for organ donation, Ziad has travelled across the world, developing a strong analytical
understanding of what drives Canadian and International relations. He understand what Alberta needs, and has used his knowledge to fight reckless NDP-Liberal policies like the Carbon Tax and “No Pipelines” legislation which restrict our province’s energy industries and our workers’ paycheques.

His passion for important issues like organ and tissue donation was born out of personal experience. In 2003, he made a partial-liver donation to his son Tyler. Ziad continues to promote organ and tissue donation as the ultimate gift.

Having previously served, also, as the Conservative Shadow Minister for National Revenue, International Development, and Digital Government, Ziad is ready to hit the ground running and continue fighting for you.

Ziad is ready to continue working with Common Sense Conservatives under Pierre Poilievre to Axe the Tax, Build the Homes, Fix the Budget, and Stop the Crime.
