Chad Cowie is a longtime educator, business owner, and father of two running for Abbotsford School Trustee to bring higher standards, stronger accountability, and greater transparency to public education.

With nearly 20 years of teaching experience in Canada and abroad, Chad understands the challenges teachers face and the responsibility trustees have to keep schools focused on student success. As owner of Cowie Construction Ltd., he also brings hands-on experience managing budgets, employees, projects, and accountability.

Chad believes parents should have a meaningful voice in their children’s education, teachers should be supported in maintaining safe and orderly classrooms, and students should graduate with strong academic foundations and the skills needed for a rapidly changing world.

His priorities include higher academic standards, clearer student assessment and feedback, greater public access and transparency at School Board meetings, stronger school safety, responsible education spending, and preparing students to use artificial intelligence effectively and responsibly.

Chad is running as an independent candidate who believes trustees should ask difficult questions, listen to the public, and put students ahead of politics.

His goal is straightforward: safer schools, higher standards, greater transparency, and brighter futures for Abbotsford students.
