Dr. Peggy Antifaeff is an experienced educator and leader with more than 25 years of experience in education. Peggy has called Abbotsford home for more than 40 years. She has deep roots in the community and a strong connection to the Abbotsford School District.
Peggy began her career in the Abbotsford School District, where she spent more than 16 years working as an educator and school and district leader across eight schools (Ridgedale, Dormick Park, McMillan, Godson, École Sandy Hill, Harry Sayers, Mt. Lehman, and King Traditional) and at the district office. Her experience gives her firsthand understanding of the opportunities and challenges facing students, families, and employees in schools. She understands the importance of strong schools to the community she calls home and believes the best outcomes for students happen when schools, families, employees, and the broader community work together.
Today, Peggy serves as a District Principal in Human Resources with Surrey School District, where she supports educators and leaders in British Columbia’s largest school district. Her more than eight years in this role have broadened her experience and given her a valuable district-wide perspective on leadership, employee support, governance, and the complex decisions that shape public education.
Peggy’s commitment to education is supported by extensive academic preparation including a Doctor of Educational Leadership from Western University.
Community involvement has always been an important part of Peggy’s life. She has volunteered with organizations including the Kiwanis Club of Clearbrook, Character Abbotsford, and BC Schools of Character, supporting initiatives focused on literacy, character development, student leadership, and community engagement.
As a candidate for School Trustee, Peggy brings extensive experience in education, a deep understanding of the Abbotsford School District, and a genuine commitment to listening, collaboration, and keeping students at the centre of decision-making. Her goal is to contribute her experience, perspective, and positive energy to building a strong future for Abbotsford students and public education.
