William Petryk is a chartered professional accountant with a passion for social and economic justice. He moved to Saskatchewan in 2011 and started his career with L&M Wood Products in Glaslyn where he was the Controller. Later, he became the Financial Administrator for Bralin Technology Solutions in North Battleford.

William has played a role in various community initiatives, including volunteer work for the York Regional chapter of the Certified Management Accountants of Ontario, the Glaslyn and District Museum Association, and both federal and provincial NDP Electoral District Association Executives. William is ready to do more for his community, which is why he is running to be your NDP MP for Battlefords—Lloydminster—Meadow Lake.

As a federal NDP candidate, William is committed to advocating for increased investment in affordable housing projects to ensure every Canadian has a safe and affordable place to live. He believes in the expansion of universal healthcare to include pharmacare, dental care, and mental health services.

With Canadians losing their homes to wildfires and climate disasters every year, William understands that implementing aggressive climate policies to reduce carbon emissions, invest in renewable energy, and support green jobs is a top priority.

William is ready to build a government that serves its people – not ultra-wealthy corporations. For too long, working-class Canadians have been forced to take a backseat while corporate insiders take the wheel. William is committed to promoting policies that put people first and address growing income inequality, such as raising the minimum wage, implementing a wealth tax, and ensuring fair wages for all workers.
