Biography
Père de deux filles et deux belles-filles et époux de Geneviève Laliberté, enseignante, Eric Lefebvre est reconnu comme un homme généreux, à l’écoute et proactif. Il se veut grandement impliqué au sein de Victoriaville et sa région depuis des décennies. Enseignant de formation, il est particulièrement connu comme un entrepreneur aguerri.
Il a notamment remporté deux prix du Panthéon de la Performance de la CCIBFE en 2001, soit le titre de Jeune personnalité d’affaires et Commerce de détail de l’année. Trois années plus tard, il était finaliste aux Mercuriades, le plus prestigieux concours d’affaires organisé par la Fédération des chambres de commerce du Québec. En mars 2019, il reçut le prix Mahatma Gandhi soulignant son grand humanisme.
Très impliqué au sein de la région, Eric Lefebvre a cumulé plusieurs fonctions au fil des ans, soit conseiller municipal à la Ville de Victoriaville de 2001 à 2009, président de la Société de développement commercial du centre-ville de Victoriaville, président de la campagne de financement pour Centraide, en plus d’avoir mis sur pied la Fondation Christian-Larochelle afin de réaliser les rêves d’enfants malades de la région et soutenir la pédiatrie de l’Hôtel-Dieu d’Arthabaska. C’est sans omettre qu’il a fait partie de l’organisation des Tigres de Victoriaville durant plus d’une décennie.
C’est en décembre 2016 qu’il devint membre de l’Assemblée nationale du Québec, étant élu une première fois lors d’une élection partielle. Il sera réélu à deux autres reprises, soit lors de l’élection de 2018, alors qu’il reçoit 62 % des voix et sera nommé whip en chef du gouvernement, ainsi qu’en 2022, obtenant encore une fois la confiance du premier ministre et conservant son poste de whip pour cette 43e législature.
Eric Lefebvre est maintenant prêt à représenter les citoyens.nes de Richmond-Arthabaska au niveau fédéral et à continuer d’être leurs yeux, leurs oreilles et leurs voix à Ottawa.
