Biography
Née et élevée au Saguenay, Fanny Boulanger est la fille d’une mère monoparentale qui lui a transmis, dès son plus jeune âge, des valeurs essentielles telles que le travail, le courage, le sacrifice et la persévérance. Ces principes ont forgé la battante qu’elle est devenue et lui offrent une perspective unique sur les défis quotidiens rencontrés par les familles de Jonquière, qui peinent à joindre les deux bouts.
Ayant fait des études au baccalauréat en linguistique et langue française de l’UQAC et fille d’une professeure de français ayant consacré une grande partie de sa carrière au Cégep de Jonquière, Fanny a la pérennité de la langue française profondément ancrée en elle. Le respect de notre langue dans toutes les instances politiques lui tient particulièrement à cœur, une valeur qui fait partie intégrante de son identité.
Son engagement en politique s’étend sur plusieurs années. Elle a d’abord travaillé comme adjointe de circonscription pour le député Richard Martel, avant de se rendre à Ottawa comme adjointe parlementaire et responsable des communications. Depuis plus d’un an, elle œuvre au cabinet de Pierre Poilievre en tant que responsable des Affaires parlementaires. Dans ce rôle, elle planifie la période de questions, aussi bien pour Pierre Poilievre que pour les autres députés, et gère certains comités parlementaires, dont celui des Langues officielles. Elle supervise également plusieurs dossiers qui touchent la région, notamment le décret fédéral sur le caribou forestier, les tarifs sur l’aluminium chinois et l’échec du gouvernement libéral à négocier une entente sur le bois d’oeuvre.
En tant que fière Saguenéenne, Fanny porte en elle les valeurs propres au Saguenay : persévérance, détermination et entraide.
