Biography
Rachel Punzalan is the Conservative Party of Canada candidate for Winnipeg North.
As a dedicated mother of 4, successful lawyers and small business owner, Rachel brings a wealth of experience and therefore intimately understands the challenges facing Winnipeg families, workers and business owners.
With a robust educational background, Rachel earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from the prestigious Ateneo de Manila University. Following this, she pursued her passion for law, obtaining her Juris Doctorate degree from the Ateneo de Manila School of Law.
Rachel immigrated from the Philippines almost 17 years ago. She worked as a legal assistant while completing her Canadian accreditation to practice law. Since her call to the bar in 2013, Rachel has honed her legal skills first as an Associate Lawyer at Restall & Restall LLP before venturing to establish her own firm Punzalan Law in 2016 in here in Winnipeg.
Over 10 years of practicing as a lawyer in Manitoba has enabled her to work with people in all different walks of life. Over the years she has conducted seminars for the community on various different legal topics such as real estate , corporate matters, family law and estate planning.
Rachel’s advocacy extends beyond her legal career; she has a passion for music and philanthropy. She has been an active member of numerous charities throughout the years, and has performed in a variety of local benefit concerts. She helped create a benefit concert in 2023 that helped raise funds to send underprivileged students through a high school program in the Philippines.
Rachel’s diverse rich experiences, dedication to her family and her unique blend of professional experience and community spirit positions her to be an excellent representative for Winnipeg North. Rachel seeks to be the voice in Ottawa that advocates for a return to reasonable common sense values that will preserve freedom and help improve the lives of families and businesses in today’s changing and challenging times.
Alongside, Pierre Poilievre and the Conservative team Rachel will fight to axe the tax, build the homes, fix the budget and stop the crime. With your support, she can bring these common sense values to Ottawa and be a strong voice for Winnipeg North in the House of Commons.
