Rod practiced law in the Philippines before his 1980 Canadian immigration and FICB designation. Rod is serving his third term as Richmond School Trustee. Rod is a strong advocate for good governance, students’ success, more support for teachers and staff, and parents’ rights in their children’s education. If re-elected, Rod will:

• Advocate for adequate funding of public education

• Foster a safe and inclusive learning environment in schools

• Develop students’ life skills to improve their personal well-being

• Promote financial literacy

• Enhance students’ voice

For nearly four decades, Rod has demonstrated an outstanding commitment to community service. As Rotarian, Knight, and Richmond Bayanihan Founding Member, his leadership spans roles as Past President of RMCS, Mabuhay Jaycees, NABC, and CIABC. Furthermore, he served on various Richmond Advisory Committees.
