I am running for the Green Party to give young people a voice in this election. The leaders of tomorrow need to be empowered today. The cost of living is rising. Housing has been a major issue in every PEI election since 2019. I want to work with all levels of government to strengthen our communities and ensure that basic human needs like food, housing, and healthcare are rights, not privileges.
I am Daniel Cousins. I’m many things: a UPEI student in the last semester of my Bachelor’s Degree, a long-time renter in Charlottetown, the founder of the Charlottetown Tool Library, Repair Cafe PEI, and the creator of Fill Up Here. I am an avid community volunteer and an advocate for affordable housing, access to mental health, universal basic income, and food security.
I dream of a future where every Canadian can have the means to live comfortably and have a bright, sustainable future, with a roof over our heads, healthy food on the table, and access to free education.
